Woohoo! Welcome to Day #2 of our exploration into how you want your clients and customers to feel, and how to infuse those energetics into your messaging. Again, this is some of my favorite work to do with my clients so be sure to watch today’s video and explore this work in your own business.
Yesterday, I invited you to write down 5-10 specific words that describe how you want your fans, clients, and customers to feel when they interact with you.
Today, we’re taking that work a step further. We are now dialing into how to transform those energetics into messaging points.
For example, if you said you wanted people to feel motivated to change their eating and exercise habits after interacting with you, a deeper messaging point that you may want to put out on social media (remember to be engaging and inclusive rather than self-promotional and exclusive) might be…
Feeling frustrated about your body right now (weight, health, vitality, etc)? Every day for the next week, keep a food and mood journal to track what you eat, when you exercise, and how you FEEL. The clues to your vitality will reveal themselves!
Now, the above messaging is good. But there may be an even deeper, more meaningful, more succinct and engaging way to say it.
For example, what if you tweak your messaging to:
Got the food/mood blues? The clues to your vitality lie in paying attention to what and when you feed your body, if and when you move your body, and what foods bring up certain moods!
Do you see how that feels lighter, more achievable/less intimidating, and may invite more people to comment about their own experiences with these issues?
This is just one example of the work I do with my clients. And it’s a 3 step process. Start by simply getting your thoughts down on paper. Jot down 5-10 messages you want to share with the world.
Next, try to shorten, shift the energy, and use more engaging language.
And finally, trim and tantalize your messaging one more time, making the words POP!
Keep in mind that mastering your messaging is a deep and exciting exploration. Today may be the first time you’re trying this. Be patient with yourself. And have fun!
